WTNL Chapter 313

Xingwang Hotel
Chapter 313: Open your eyes

“…Close, your, eyes.”

Wen Jianyan took a deep breath, his voice laced with a hint of gritted teeth.

The moment his words fell, the tangible gaze that had been on him disappeared.

However, for some reason, even though Wu Zhu obeyed his command and closed his eyes, the strange heat that had lingered in the spot where his gaze had been still seemed to remain. The thin fabric, soaked with water, clung tightly to his skin, bringing an undeniable sensation—one that could have been ignored but, once noticed, became impossible to disregard.

“……”

Wen Jianyan couldn’t help but tug at the collar of his shirt, trying to pull the damp fabric away from his skin.

But just as his hand reached halfway, it was forcefully stopped.

No, why should he care about this?

It was just his chest.

Let him look.

Wen Jianyan’s gaze once again landed on Wu Zhu.

He was still restrained by the Ouroboros chain, the end of the chain disappearing into the darkness. His clothes were disheveled, exposing pale skin marked with intricate and eerie runes. His long black hair’s ends were soaked in the cold water on the floor.

Leaning against the bed, his face was expressionless. After closing his eyes, he seemed to have lost the earlier flirtation and heat, now appearing especially disheveled, even…

Innocent, almost as if he were the one who had been wronged.

“……”

Wen Jianyan felt the anger that had just been suppressed in his chest rise again.

There was no need for this, no need.

He didn’t need to be angry with a beast that temporarily lacked the ability to think or speak.

He was brainless!

Wen Jianyan tightly closed his eyes, taking several deep breaths before finally managing to calm himself down.

He turned his head and looked back at the large hole in the wall.

The hole was deep, not allowing a single ray of light to penetrate. Inside, it was pitch black, chillingly cold, and seemed to carry some kind of strange, irresistible pull, as if it could swallow everything around it, making one feel a sense of dread.

As if trying to resist that terrifying gravity, Wen Jianyan subtly took half a step back, forcing himself to look away.

Clearly, Wu Zhu didn’t want him to go into that hole.

Although Wu Zhu was currently in a state of losing reason and consciousness, Wen Jianyan didn’t think his conclusion was wrong.

In fact, he could even say that Wu Zhu, in this state, might be more reliable than when he was fully conscious.

Wu Zhu’s previous state had been too unpredictable, always giving Wen Jianyan the feeling that the other was plotting something. Naturally, he had to be extra cautious, watching every move to prevent the other from using any tricks to escape.

Actions driven by primal instincts, on the other hand, made Wen Jianyan feel more at ease.

Because, no matter what, Wu Zhu didn’t want him to die.

Or rather…

He didn’t want him to die at the hands of anything other than himself.

Therefore, the large hole was something he needed to stay away from, not approach.

When it came to matters closely related to his life, Wen Jianyan had always been extremely cautious, never allowing emotions or impulses to cloud his judgment.

This meant that the only clue left for him to explore in this room had just been cut off.

Wu Zhu was now his only remaining option.

But the problem was, the other was not in a state where negotiation or communication was possible.

Was he really going to give up this opportunity and leave?

Wen Jianyan furrowed his brows.

He looked down again, turning his gaze toward Wu Zhu.

The other was still in the same state, looking quite obedient.

If Wen Jianyan weren’t so aware of the true danger the other posed, he might have been deceived by his current helpless, nearly harmless appearance.

“…Hah.”

Wen Jianyan exhaled deeply, wiped the remaining water from his face, and then turned to walk toward Wu Zhu.

It seemed he had made up his mind.

No matter what, Wen Jianyan wasn’t going to leave empty-handed.

As time passed, the difficulty of this instance would only increase. As more guests arrived, the danger inside the Xingwang Hotel would grow, and finding a relatively safe time and place would become exponentially harder.

More importantly, during his last conversation with Wu Zhu, the other hadn’t mentioned how long this state of unconsciousness and primal behavior would last…

What if, by the time of the next encounter, Wu Zhu still hadn’t fully awakened?

Wen Jianyan didn’t have time to waste here, nor was he willing to gamble on whether the other would be in a state of rational conversation next time.

That left him with only one option.

—Force Wu Zhu to wake up.

Wen Jianyan flipped his hand, taking out the blade he had hidden in his palm before “falling asleep,” and made a sharp cut on his fingertip.

The gleaming blade sliced through his skin, and hot blood welled up, dripping down his finger.

Drip.

A thick drop of blood fell into the water, the pale red color spreading in the dark water.

Sensing the familiar scent of blood, Wu Zhu turned his head and accurately looked in his direction. His face remained expressionless, as if there was no obvious emotional change, but Wen Jianyan could clearly catch the subtle shift in his expression. Beneath his thin lips, his white, sharp teeth flickered, as if the greedy, hungry beast inside him had been awakened, stirring beneath his human skin.

In the darkness, the Ouroboros chain rattled once again.

Wen Jianyan stopped in front of the other, one hand gripping his chin, coldly commanding:

“Open your mouth.”

This was an order without any forceful compulsion.

Wu Zhu obediently opened his mouth, allowing Wen Jianyan to push his bleeding fingers inside.

“…Hiss.”

Wen Jianyan furrowed his brows, sharply inhaling through his teeth.

He felt the other sucking fiercely at his wound, the cold, nimble tongue forcing its way into the flesh, drawing out the warm, thick blood from the injury.

Since the previous command was still in effect, Wu Zhu kept his eyes closed.

His long, dark lashes gently rested on his pale, stone-like face. With his golden beast-like eyes hidden, the dangerous aggression unique to his kind seemed to soften.

His pale lips were tinged with a hint of human blood, and his chin tilted up as his Adam’s apple moved with each breath.

It hurt.

But the pain wasn’t intense, thanks to the small size of the wound. It was easy to ignore, especially when the sensation of the other’s lips and tongue distracted him.

“……”

Wen Jianyan only realized, a little late, that he was exploring the other’s mouth.

It was soft and cold, and the tongue was as agile as a snake.

The teeth were sharp and hard.

He pressed down just a little, without meaning to.

The wet, soft tongue eagerly curled around his fingertip, and the response was even more intense, almost greedy.

Wen Jianyan jumped, instinctively pulling his hand back.

Wu Zhu furrowed his brows slightly, as if displeased, and opened his mouth to bite his fingertip, preventing him from pulling away.

The bite wasn’t hard.

It felt more like teasing than feeding.

“!!!”

A jolt of electricity shot through Wen Jianyan’s body from the spot where he was bitten. He shuddered and instinctively pulled back, creating distance.

“Clink.”

The sound of the Ouroboros chain clashing again echoed.

Wu Zhu, still with his eyes closed, turned his head toward Wen Jianyan, who had pulled back. He seemed confused by the sudden withdrawal. His scarlet tongue licked his lips, savoring the blood, as if still unsatisfied.

“……”

Wen Jianyan had retreated to a safe distance, his face flushed in spots, his expression shifting between emotions.

The other’s movements were restrained, and he had lost the ability to challenge Wen Jianyan with his gaze…

But still…

For some reason, Wen Jianyan felt like he had been at a disadvantage.

It was as if, in an invisible way, he had been violated in a more subtle manner, and it made him uneasy.

Wen Jianyan closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

For some reason, every time he faced Wu Zhu, he felt a strong urge to curse.

He needed to stay civilized.

He lowered his head and glanced at his fingers.

The wound had stopped bleeding.

But Wu Zhu looked no different, still in a low-rational state.

Could it be that it wasn’t enough?

…Since things had already gone this far, he had no choice but to continue if he wanted to achieve his goal.

Wen Jianyan steadied himself and approached again.

He carefully avoided the key blood vessels and made a shallow cut on his wrist.

Bright red blood surged out, shining on his pale skin, slowly sliding down the graceful line of his wrist and into his palm.

Wen Jianyan grabbed Wu Zhu’s long hair, forcing him to tilt his head back, then pressed his hand to his lips, whispering:

“Drink.”

The cold tongue touched his palm, slowly licking up the blood, following the line of his wrist, until it stopped near the wound.

Not a drop of blood was wasted, as if it were a long, lingering kiss.

“……”

Maybe because of the blood loss, Wen Jianyan felt a little dizzy…

He braced himself on the bed behind Wu Zhu to keep from falling.

Unconsciously, they were drawn even closer.

Wu Zhu, still with his eyes closed, licked Wen Jianyan’s wrist, focused, enchanted, and greedy.

His black hair, like flowing silk, draped over both of them, soft as a snake, forming an invisible web.

“……Mmm.”

Wen Jianyan lowered his eyes, a soft moan escaping his throat, and unconsciously leaned in a little more.

They were so close now.

He was almost sitting on Wu Zhu’s lap, their foreheads touching.

“Clink.”

The sound of the Ouroboros chain clashing again echoed.

It seemed that Wen Jianyan’s consciousness was growing weaker, and the effect of the previous command was starting to fade. Wu Zhu’s hands, once bound by chains, were now gradually free.

Wu Zhu raised his hand and placed it on Wen Jianyan’s side.

The wet fabric clung to his skin, outlining the soft curve of his waist, easily gripped by Wu Zhu’s hand. His fingers tightened, leaving a slight mark on the soft flesh.

The cold lips, tinged with blood, slowly moved up from the wound.

They kissed over his wrist, his elbow, his shoulder…

At the same time, Wu Zhu’s fingers slipped under Wen Jianyan’s wet shirt, pressing against the young man’s curved spine.

Wen Jianyan let him do as he pleased.

He rested his forehead against Wu Zhu’s head, his fingers slipping into the long black hair, half-embracing his head, almost encouraging the boldness.

Until…

Just before Wu Zhu kissed his neck, Wen Jianyan’s long, relaxed fingers suddenly tightened, yanking him back!

Wu Zhu was forced to tilt his head back.

His sharp teeth pulled away from the warm prey in his arms, and a faint sigh of regret escaped his throat.

Wen Jianyan opened his eyes.

His pupils gleamed with sharpness, fully awake, with no trace of confusion left.

He curled his lips into a cold smile, slowly, in a deep voice, commanding:

“—Open your eyes.”

“……”

Wu Zhu’s lashes fluttered, and his eyes slowly opened.

The dark golden eyes, cold and cruel like a beast’s, were no longer covered, and they locked onto Wen Jianyan with clear amusement in the depths of his gaze.

“You did it on purpose.”

He said.

“Of course.”

Wen Jianyan’s lips curled up, but there was no smile in his eyes.

He looked down at Wu Zhu, his gaze filled with boundless pressure, and his fingers tightened again around the long hair.

He leaned in closer:

“Otherwise, how would I know when you started to wake up?”
