Synopsis:

The student he regarded as his heir has betrayed him; the artificial intelligence he built with his own hands had become a universal enemy; the hundreds of millions he left in the bank turned to worthless paper eight hundred years ago in the chaos of war — and all he had left was one free-with-top-up, sharp-tongued AI companion.

Xiang Nanli takes a long, slow breath and silently swears an oath —
