Chapter 2

An Analysis of the Influence of Innate Comprehensive Judgment and Binary Opposition Ideology on Male Voluntary Sterilization

Half an hour later, countless police cars blared their sirens, rushing towards the airport at lightning speed.

“Supervisor,” a B-class evolutionist, turned around and handed a tablet to the backseat of the car with both hands: “This is the information just received from the Air Traffic Control Bureau regarding Flight MN538, and the background investigation of the other three hijackers is also here.”

Inside the speeding car, Shen Zhuo took the tablet, and the screen’s glow reflected on his icy lenses.

According to Zhang Zhao’s intermittent confession, the remaining three accomplices hijacked a civil aviation plane from M country to Shenhai Airport today, using the passengers onboard as leverage for negotiations with the government and demanding the release of Zhang Zhao.

The hijacked MN538 was now approaching Shenhai Airport, with only half an hour left until landing.

“Customs is urgently retrieving the personal information of the passengers onboard. Once it’s done, they’ll send it to us immediately. Um, Supervisor…” The B-class evolutionist swallowed nervously, looking at the information on the three hijackers in Shen Zhuo’s hands, and his voice trembled slightly: “The two C-class accomplices with special abilities are not much of a concern, bu-but this mastermind…”

The tablet displayed the gloomy face of the hijacking mastermind.

Zhang Wenyong was 35 years old, unemployed, and Zhang Zhao’s cousin.

A registered A-class evolutionist with an escape record.

Even though the situation was urgent, the air inside the car seemed to freeze in place.

Several fully armed B-class evolutionists closed their mouths cautiously, not daring to look up at Shen Zhuo’s expression.

Humanity’s sudden evolution began five years ago.

It all started with a grand meteor shower, a once-in-a-century event that brought over 4,000 meteorites to Earth. Among them, a considerable portion was discovered to be an extraordinary extraterrestrial substance—

Evolutionary Radiation Source.

Soon after the meteor shower, people all around the world began to undergo spontaneous evolution. Those who had come into contact with the Evolutionary Source meteorites experienced a rapid enhancement of their physical abilities and even developed various superpowers overnight.

The governments of different countries quickly collected and secured the evolutionary source, and the one hundred thousand evolved individuals worldwide were registered and classified into four classes: A, B, C, and D.

The C and D-class evolutionists accounted for over eighty thousand individuals. Their superpowers were within manageable limits, mostly comprising abilities like enhanced senses, object manipulation, and some limited extrasensory perception. Their impact on society was relatively minor, and they were mostly recruited by national surveillance agencies or special forces.

The B-class evolutionists, numbering less than twenty thousand, possessed robust physical attributes, making them resistant to conventional bullets. Moreover, they had stronger abilities, such as controlling water and fire. They were the focus of monitoring and protection by various countries due to their high research value.

At the very top of the biological chain were the global 2000+ A-class evolutionists.

They stood at the pinnacle of human evolution.

They possessed extremely high individual combat capabilities and had unique control over natural elements, electric currents, and magnetic fields. Some could even influence the weather within a certain range, causing floods, hailstorms, and other natural disasters. These 2000 A-class evolutionist individuals were like over two thousand time bombs hidden in human society.

A B-class evolutionist like Zhang Zhao was challenging for the supervision office, but a bloodthirsty and brutal A-class like Zhang Wenyong could exact a heavy price on the entire Shenhai city.

Meanwhile, at the airport.

“You must evacuate! All non-evolved individuals, evacuate!” A young man wearing the Supervision Office uniform and a B-class evolutionist collar roared angrily, pointing at the sky with one hand and grabbing the SWAT captain’s collar with the other: “The person on the plane is an A-class evolutionist, extremely dangerous! Staying here will only lead to death!”

The airport had fallen into chaos, with red and blue police lights flashing intermittently. The SWAT captain, being grabbed by the collar, retorted angrily, “We haven’t received orders from our superiors! The airport passengers haven’t been fully evacuated yet!! We—”

Beep beep!

Car horns sounded from afar, and the crowd scattered in panic.

Four armored, explosive-proof vehicles raced to a stop at the entrance to the tarmac, and dozens of well-trained, heavily armed evolutionists jumped out of the vehicles. Each of them wore collars around their necks and uniforms with “Shenhai City Supervision Office” written on them.

“Evol… Evolutionist?”

“Are they evolutionists?”

The crowd was shocked, and suddenly someone noticed something, “Look! That car is…”

A domestically produced black sedan with six ones on its license plate steadily parked in front of the runway. Soon after, the car door opened, and Shen Zhuo bent down as he emerged from the car, holding down his black coat fluttering in the wind.

The young man pushed aside the special SWAT captain and ran towards Shen Zhuo, shouting, “Supervisor!”

Seeing this, the other Supervision Office Evolutionists around also hurriedly approached, asking, “What’s the situation, Captain Chen?” “Captain!”

However, this young man, Chen Miao, the second team leader of the supervision office, had no time to answer other colleagues’ questions. He ran straight to Shen Zhuo and saluted, “Supervisor, the situation is very bad. We just confirmed the abilities of the hijacking mastermind, Zhang Wenyong. He can control the weather in a small range and has some connection to several hijacking cases from previous years…”

Shen Zhuo remained silent, striding toward the tarmac.

“Senior, listen to me.” Chen Miao quickly scanned his surroundings and changed his address, speaking urgently, “You really can’t keep taking the medicine so frequently. Let’s request external assistance. Yue-ge told me before returning to the Central District that no matter what happens, you can ask him for help. After all, Yue-ge was the first A-class evolutionist individual in our country…”

Chen Miao caught a glimpse of Shen Zhuo’s expression and immediately fell silent in horror.

“But he’s just a dog left behind by Fu Chen,” Shen Zhuo said coldly.

“….”

Chen Miao didn’t dare to speak. He saw a hint of disdain in Shen Zhuo’s eyes and said hesitantly, “Moreover, he’s only an A-class.”

Is he referring to Zhang Wenyong, the hijacker, or Yue-ge from the Central District?

Chen Miao didn’t dare to speak further. At this moment, Shen Zhuo stepped over the cordon, just as the SWAT captain turned his head and didn’t recognize Shenhai City’s top supervisor. But his gaze fell on Shen Zhuo’s neck, which had no identification, and he was suddenly shocked:

“How did the passengers get in? This place is very dangerous. Someone take him away!”

Before he could finish his sentence, he felt the micro-submachine gun in his hand disappear with unimaginable force.

Shen Zhuo continued walking towards the control tower, holding a silver special pistol in one hand, pointing it towards the sky.

Bang bang bang bang bang!

Bullets flew, and screams echoed as everyone was stunned, and the chaotic situation suddenly became silent.

“I am from the Shenhai City Supervision Office, and I am taking control of this area. All non-combat personnel must evacuate immediately!”

Shen Zhuo’s expression was ice-cold. He tossed the emptied micro-submachine gun aside and took out a silver special pistol from his back, loading it as he walked, “Inform the control tower to contact MN538. I want to personally talk to the hijacker.”

Under the overcast sky, a massive civilian aircraft roared across the sky.

Inside the cabin, when the chaos and screams came from the back, Bai Sheng was lying in the reclined seat in the first-class cabin, with both long legs casually raised. He wore full-coverage headphones, and deafening music came from them as he concentrated on reading a book with a suspiciously large cover.

“Hands up! Don’t move!”

“Aaaaaaahhh—”

A flight attendant rushed past the aisle, but Bai Sheng paid no attention, engrossed in flipping through the pages of the book.

“All of you, put your hands on your heads and lower your heads! Otherwise, I’ll shoot!” A C-class evolutionist hijacker roared as he rushed in, his submachine gun sweeping the surroundings in a circle. Suddenly, he stopped in disbelief: “Hey? What are you doing here?!”

Under gunpoint, in Seat 1A, Bai Sheng leisurely raised his head, “?”

Hijacker: “…”

Everyone present: “…”

“Laozi told you to raise your hands!!” The hijacker was going mad.

Bai Sheng looked at the gun muzzle inexplicably, then leaned forward to glance at the trembling passengers. It was only then that he realized what was happening and reached for the noise-canceling headphones, which looked expensive at first glance.

In the next moment, a hair-raising sound of music poured out: “Super Idol’s smile is not as sweet as yours—”

“A plane hijacking?” Bai Sheng closed his book, blurting out the three words in confusion.

At that instant, everyone around had the same initial reaction: This handsome guy must be a little crazy.

Bai Sheng’s appearance was somewhat like that of a returning international student, wearing a white T-shirt with jeans and sports shoes. He had a black smartwatch on his wrist, and a small strand of silver-white hair was dyed in the midst of his messy black hair, giving him a somewhat trendy look.

Describing his features as handsome and charming would not be an exaggeration. However, there seemed to be an inverse relationship between his good looks and intelligence; his face completely failed to reveal the extent of his mental eccentricities. The two aspects formed a sharp contrast.

The hijacker almost cursed aloud, but then he caught a glimpse of the book in Bai Sheng’s hands. On the cover, a coquettish bunny girl blew a flying kiss, and the title read:

“An Analysis of the Influence of Innate Comprehensive Judgment and Binary Opposition Ideology on Male Voluntary Sterilization.”

The girdle had passionate recommendations: “A profound masterpiece! First-time publication! From the world’s top academic institution! A dissertation by a Doctor of Philosophy!”

Bai Sheng, the author.

“…” The hijacker, holding the submachine gun, thought, Who the hell wrote this nonsense? Was there something wrong with their brain circuit? Will they even graduate with this kind of thesis?

Bai Sheng observed the hijacker’s expression and felt that he might have found a potential like-minded person. He sincerely handed the book to him, “Wanna buy one? The author’s ideas are very sharp, you know.”

“Get lost!” The hijacker finally found an outlet for his anger and sent the book flying far away, yelling, “—Hands up! Get down!!”

On the ground, at the control tower.

The control room door slammed open, and the staff in front of the monitoring station nervously turned their heads. They saw Shen Zhuo walking in quickly, his face as cold as snow.

Behind him, several evolutionist guards escorted a stumbling figure, Zhang Zhao.

“Supervisor Shen!” The negotiation expert hurriedly stepped forward, with an unpleasant expression: “We just established contact with the hijacker, Zhang Wenyong. He demands the immediate release of his accomplice, Zhang Zhao. He’s being extremely tough, and we can hardly persuade him. We’ve tried various methods, but nothing works…”

“Has his family been found?”

The negotiation expert replied with difficulty, “Zhang Wenyong’s mother was killed by him with his own hands when he was 13 years old. His father is missing.”

The expressions of everyone present were indescribable.

Shen Zhuo waved his hand, indicating that he understood the situation. He went to the monitoring station, picked up the earpiece, and asked air traffic control, “How long can the fuel last for the flight?”

The senior leader furrowed his brows into the shape of the Chinese character “川” and replied, “The reserve fuel is enough for another thirty minutes. The critical point now is that we’re afraid the hijacker will make a malicious emergency landing and intentionally crash into a crowded area or residential district…”

Shen Zhuo nodded and put on the headset.

Several screens illuminated his firm and cold profile. His voice was calm and clear, “I am Shen Zhuo from the Shenhai City Supervision Office. What are your demands?”

“…” On the other end of the communication device, there was a crackling sound of electricity, and after a moment, Zhang Wenyong’s chilling voice came through:

“Inspector Shen, I’ve heard a lot about you.”

The cockpit door of the plane swung open, and the elderly pilot lay unconscious on the floor. The young co-pilot’s hands trembled, and he gritted his teeth as he tried to focus on the dashboard, despite the blood flowing down, obscuring his left eye.

Zhang Wenyong stood behind the pilot’s seat, seemingly casually pressing down on the co-pilot’s head. He was a terrifyingly burly figure, with even his hand muscles unusually developed. A slight twist could easily snap someone’s neck from the throat.

“I have three conditions; listen carefully,” Zhang Wenyong said coldly. “First, release Zhang Zhao immediately.”

Shen Zhuo glanced back, seeing Zhang Zhao being held at gunpoint by several Supervision Office Evolutionists, paralyzed and collapsing in the corner.

“Second, prepare a car and 100 million in cash, old banknotes. I’ll randomly take a few female passengers as hostages,” Zhang Wenyong’s tone was extremely ferocious. “Don’t even think about tampering with the car or the money. Otherwise, tomorrow you’ll receive the severed heads of all the hostages. Understood?”

Shen Zhuo remained composed: “What’s the third condition?”

Zhang Wenyong sneered.

“The third condition is that I want you to release all the evolutionists under the supervision of the Shenhai City Supervision Office. Remove their collars, destroy their records, and set them free in society. I want you to grant them complete freedom.”

“For the record, I want you to return their freedom completely.”

There was a moment of silence.

Even the officers in their uniforms had complex expressions and involuntarily looked at Shen Zhuo in front of the monitoring station.

But under the watchful eyes of everyone, Shen Zhuo’s tall figure remained unmoving, and he spoke without any emotion in his tone:

“Surrender, I refuse all three conditions.”

The expressions  of all the people changed slightly.

In fact, anyone in Shen Zhuo’s position would have to reject them at this moment. If Zhang Wenyong were allowed to land, it would be impossible to carry out an arrest at the airport. They would have to watch him escape with the hostages—the various incidents involving evolutionist criminals over the past five years had left many heavy lessons for law enforcement worldwide.

But no one expected Shen Zhuo to be so decisive, without even a hint of weakness or seeking advice. He made his decision directly.

“Do you know what you’re saying, Inspector Shen?” Zhang Wenyong squeezed out a sentence between his teeth.

“Do you know who you’re dealing with, Zhang Wenyong?”

“…”

Shen Zhuo said, “I am Shen Zhuo, a supervisor in Shenhai City, the only person authorized to sacrifice a few lives to ensure the safety of the entire city.”

Inside the cockpit, Zhang Wenyong stared at the intercom, his lips trembling slightly.

“If you surrender now, I can guarantee that all of you will serve a life sentence without the threat of death. But if you start a massacre, I will ensure that you hear Zhang Zhao being tortured to death.”

“I won’t give you the chance to crash the plane into the city. The jammer is already activated, and a guided missile is ready to launch. It’s prepared to blow up the entire plane together with you.”

“Zhang Wenyong,” Shen Zhuo’s calm voice echoed in the tower control room. “You are a bloodthirsty A-class mutant. If you escape from Shenhai today, countless people will die because of you.”

“I will end you in Shenhai.”

The communicator was silent at both ends, except for the crackling sound of electricity, as if even the wind had frozen.

“F***!” Panic and rage surged to the top of Zhang Wenyong’s head, and he went crazy. He slammed the intercom down, then turned around and dashed out of the cockpit.

Outside the cockpit, right in the first-class cabin, a handsome guy with silver-white hair was calmly raising his hands with a submachine gun pointed at his head.

Zhang Wenyong cursed and, without hesitation, grabbed the collar of the handsome guy, dragging him back into the cockpit.

Bai Sheng, who encountered the unexpected: “…”

Zhang Wenyong took a submachine gun and a wireless intercom in his hands, spitting angrily, “Shen, don’t think you’ve scared me! I have a hostage in my hands now! If you don’t follow those three conditions, I’ll kill him! Watch if I dare!!”

On the other end of the intercom, there was a moment of silence before Shen Zhuo’s cold and indifferent response came, “I never compromise with criminals.”

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The submachine gun spewed tongues of fire, and a burst of bullets instantly turned the hostage into a sieve.

“…”

Bai Sheng was covered in blood, slowly tilting backward and falling to the floor of the cockpit.

“Aaaaaaaaahhhhh——”

Outside the cockpit, the passengers erupted into screams of extreme terror. Two C-class hijackers rushed over, and when they saw the bloody corpse on the floor, they were stunned. “Bo-Boss”

Zhang Wenyong was breathing heavily, gripping the intercom tightly. “Did you hear that, Shen? I can still kill a few more, I can…”

On the other end of the intercom, bang!

Shen Zhuo turned around and pointed his gun at Zhang Zhao. A clean shot rang out, and the heart-wrenching screams echoed clearly in Zhang Wenyong’s ears.

“Your cousin still has one leg left, and the guided missile is ready to launch at any time.” Shen Zhuo said calmly.

The cockpit seemed to freeze as the intercom slipped from Zhang Wenyong’s stiff hands and landed with a thud on the control panel.

“What… what do we do…” one of the accomplices trembled, unable to even hold his gun steadily. “That guy named Shen is crazy, he… he will do what he says…”

In fact, the essence of hostage-taking and extortion was a game of wits. However, A-class evolutionist criminals were not on the same level as ordinary humans, so Zhang Wenyong had an absolute psychological advantage.

Until Shen Zhuo overturned the chessboard.

“It’s still possible; there is still time.” Another accomplice nervously muttered, “We’ll listen to him and land at the airport first. He wouldn’t dare to use missiles to bomb us inside the airport, right? There are so many people in this cabin; we can just grab a few…”

His words came to a sudden stop.

In the pool of blood on the floor, the handsome guy’s body suddenly opened his eyes, and he slowly sat up, taking off the blood-soaked white T-shirt.

Not only the three hijackers but even the unfortunate co-pilot thought he was having hallucinations from being too frightened.

“I’m going to teach you something…” Bai Sheng said hoarsely.

His upper body was powerfully built, with broad and sturdy shoulders and six-pack abs sharply defined as if carved with a knife, and the v-line converged down into his jeans.

The submachine gun bullets exited his body one by one, falling to the ground with a clatter. The bloody wounds rapidly healed.

“Even among the same classes of evolutionists, there may be a huge difference in individual combat power, not to mention…”

The last bullet exited from his heart, and the skin and muscles returned to normal, finally revealing the blood-red level mark under his left clavicle, clearly reflected in the trembling eyes of the hijackers—

S.

White Sheng stood up, his five fingers covered in blood, combing his hair back. Then, he reached out and grabbed the nearest hijacker from a distance.

The hijacker didn’t even have time to scream before he was twisted into a pretzel, bones and joints breaking with a loud crack, and then he was thrown out, hitting the cabin wall with a heavy impact, causing the huge plane to shake with gasps of shock!

I think here Bai Sheng just said it in an exaggerated way
.” Bai Sheng said coldly.
