Anchor Hall
Chapter 526: Reality Show
“Yes.”
Behind the counter, the attendant bowed his head deeply, a completely different attitude from when he had stopped Wen Jianyan. He opened a vermillion-lacquered wooden cabinet beside him and began to take out chips.
“No, no, that’s not necessary.” Wen Jianyan quickly composed himself from his earlier shock. A suave smile instantly appeared on his face as he refused in a half-flattering, half-joking manner, “How could I let you treat me? That would be quite ungentlemanly.”
None of the top ten in Nightmare were simple characters. As one of the top three, Dan Zhu’s level of danger was self-evident. From any angle, Wen Jianyan wanted nothing to do with her.
“You don’t want them?” Dan Zhu glanced at him sideways with those misty eyes, her full, soft red lips curling up. “But,” she said lightly, “I don’t have a habit of taking back things I’ve given away.”
As she walked towards the casino floor, she casually tossed a sentence over her shoulder.
“How you deal with them is your business. I don’t care if you throw them away.”
As she spoke, the woman in the long dress had already walked away, her back graceful and swaying.
Beside him, the attendant had already laid out a stack of chips on a tray on the counter. He watched Wen Jianyan, who was not far away, seemingly waiting for something.
“…” Wen Jianyan sighed, walked over, and took the chips from the attendant’s hand.
“Thank you.”
Although he didn’t want to get involved with Dan Zhu, he wasn’t so tactless as to displease her over such a small matter.
“Please,” the attendant bowed. “I wish you a pleasant time.”
Wen Jianyan nodded and walked into the casino proper.
Only after entering did he realize how much more luxurious it was than it appeared, matched by an unparalleled sense of privacy and tranquility. However, after walking a full circle, Wen Jianyan discovered that the most popular attractions from upstairs hadn’t been moved down. The slot machines and pachinko games with their colorful lights and cheerful music were nonexistent down here. Walking around, one could almost suspect they weren’t in a casino at all, but rather in some highly private, exclusive club.
A dealer sat at each gambling table. Regardless of gender, the dealers were all sharply dressed in uniforms with handsome features. However, like the attendant who had received him earlier, each dealer’s face was unnaturally pale, almost not like a living person’s. The gambling tables in front of them also looked different from those in a normal casino. Although they were the familiar green felt tables, the variety of games on them seemed a bit too comprehensive. Dice, poker cards, roulette wheels, and so on… there were even gambling tools Wen Jianyan couldn’t name. Generally, a single gambling table in a casino would have only one type of game. Here, it seemed that once you chose a table, you could play all types of games.
“This esteemed guest,” a blonde dealer, seeming to notice Wen Jianyan had been lingering for a while, looked over with a smile. “Would you like to try your hand?”
“…” Wen Jianyan thought for a moment, then walked over, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
Almost as soon as he sat, a handsome attendant came forward, presenting him with a top-tier wine list—drinks that were expensive upstairs but free here—for him to choose from.
Wen Jianyan shook his head and pushed the menu away. “No, thanks.”
The moment he sat down, the smile on the dealer’s face became even warmer and more eager. “What would you like to play?”
Wen Jianyan’s gaze swept over the gambling tools on the table, finally landing on the deck of playing cards in the corner. He tapped the table with his knuckle. “Let’s do 21.”
“Very well.” The dealer, wearing white gloves, moved the selected gambling tools to the center of the table. “How much will you be betting?” he asked with a smile.
Wen Jianyan looked down at the chips in his hand.
Five in total. Three green chips, with the numbers “1”, “5”, and “10” on them. One gold chip, with the number “1”. One red chip, also with the number “1.”
Wen Jianyan’s gaze paused. Normally, a casino wouldn’t have chips with such small numbers; even the chips upstairs started at 25. But… both the place he was in now and the person who gave him these chips were anything but ordinary. Therefore, the value of these chips was likely far greater than the numbers on them suggested.
After a few seconds of contemplation, Wen Jianyan tossed out a green chip with the number “5”.
The chip landed with a clink, and the game officially began. The cards were dealt onto the table.
Wen Jianyan’s gaze swept over their values.
“HIT.”
Another card.
“HIT.”
The cards were dealt again. This repeated.
“HOLD.”
The cards were revealed. The dealer turned over his hole card. Wen Jianyan glanced at the point total.
The number was greater than 21. A bust.
“Tsk.” The blonde dealer used a long rake to collect the bet Wen Jianyan had just placed. “Will you continue?”
“Let’s continue.”
Wen Jianyan lost two more consecutive games. Soon, he had lost all of his green chips.
The blonde dealer looked apologetic. “Will you continue?”
“No, no,” the young man shook his head, standing up with a regretful look. “My luck is bad, Lady Luck isn’t on my side. If I keep going, I’ll only keep losing.”
“Please see yourself out.” The dealer bowed to him.
Wen Jianyan nodded and left the table.
The moment he turned around, a thoughtful expression appeared on his face. Those three rounds were enough for him to figure some things out. It was important to note that Wen Jianyan himself hadn’t cheated. It was his first time here, and he hadn’t yet figured out the details of the place. Under these circumstances, he couldn’t do something as risky as cheating. After all, if he got caught, it would be disastrous. And what was most incredible to him was that this casino… hadn’t cheated either. Not even a little! This was somewhat beyond Wen Jianyan’s expectations. Because of this, the outcome of the game was completely influenced by his luck, leading to three consecutive losses.
Wen Jianyan rubbed his chin, a puzzled expression on his face. No way… could this place really be this honest?
Just then, the sound of shaking dice came from the side. Wen Jianyan stopped and looked over. Soon, he saw a familiar figure at a gambling table not far away—a form-fitting fishtail dress, a seductive and graceful figure, and slender white fingers holding a long, slim ladies’ cigarette.
It was Dan Zhu.
Compared to the scene at her table, Wen Jianyan’s previous game was just child’s play. Dan Zhu sat alone at the huge, boat-shaped gambling table, while opposite her stood a very handsome dealer and five respectful attendants. Dan Zhu herself had a cool expression, a hard-to-read smile on her face. In front of her was a huge dice cup.
Wen Jianyan recognized it at a glance as a very ancient form of gambling called Sic Bo. Simply put, it was betting on big or small. The most primitive way to play Sic Bo was just to bet on whether the sum of the dice was odd or even, big or small, with the payout usually being one-to-one.
However, with the development of casinos, gamblers could even bet on more things, like whether a specific number would appear, the frequency of that number’s appearance, or even the total sum of the points. If these more detailed bets were correct, the payout could be as high as one-to-twenty, or even one-to-fifty.
But… Dan Zhu’s game was clearly different from his own. Wen Jianyan noticed that the felt on her table was not the usual green, but a strange, blood-like scarlet.
“What are you looking at? Come here.” A lazy voice sounded.
Wen Jianyan was startled, only then realizing Dan Zhu was calling him. He hesitated for a moment before walking over.
“Win or lose?” Dan Zhu glanced at him.
Wen Jianyan answered honestly, “Lost.”
“Heh heh…” Dan Zhu laughed. She tapped the table with the fingers holding her cigarette. “Want to play?”
Wen Jianyan thought for a moment. “Betting on odd or even, is that okay?”
Dan Zhu: “Sure.”
Wen Jianyan pulled out a chair, leaned forward, his eyes curved into crescents, his voice intimate: “Then you have to promise me one thing.”
Dan Zhu said casually, “Fine.”
Wen Jianyan leaned close to Dan Zhu’s ear, whispered something, and then threw his only two remaining chips towards the house: “Odd.”
“All in?” Dan Zhu narrowed her eyes, a light puff of white smoke escaping from her soft, crimson lips. Her eyes on Wen Jianyan, she suddenly smiled. “Then I’ll go with you.”
With that, she pushed forward all of her chips. With a great clatter, a small mountain of gold, red, and green chips cascaded forward.
“Even,” Dan Zhu said lazily.
The dice cup began to spin again. Wen Jianyan’s gaze was fixed on the dealer. He breathed in and out slowly, his eyes locked on the dealer, waiting motionlessly. Finally, the sound of the dice hitting the wall of the cup stopped. The lid was lifted, and the answer was revealed.
It was even.
A one-to-one payout. The chips in front of Dan Zhu instantly doubled. The red and green chips were collected by the dealer, who then laid out ten black chips and pushed them over.
And Wen Jianyan was once again empty-handed.
He stood up, sighing and shaking his head. “Alas, it looks like my luck is really bad tonight.”
“…” Dan Zhu just narrowed her slender eyes, thoughtfully studying Wen Jianyan, silent for a long time.
“What’s wrong?” Wen Jianyan’s expression was innocent.
That’s right. The thing he had just asked Dan Zhu to promise was not to bet on the same side as him. Since the casino’s probability of cheating was low, he might as well use this opportunity to return a favor. Strictly speaking… he hadn’t cheated, had he?
“Nothing.” Dan Zhu narrowed her eyes and smiled. She extended a finger with red nail polish, picked up a green chip, and tossed it to the attendant behind her. “Here, a tip.”
The attendant was stunned at first, then overjoyed, bowing frantically in thanks. “Thank you, thank you, Miss Dan Zhu, thank you, Miss Dan Zhu!”
Wen Jianyan glanced at the chip. The face value was 1.
“…” He couldn’t help but be startled. My god, a green chip with a face value of 1 could make an attendant so ecstatic? Remembering the other colored chips he had held just a moment ago, Wen Jianyan couldn’t help but shiver. Just how high was the exchange rate for the chips in this underground casino? And… just how much money had Dan Zhu given him earlier?
Dan Zhu lowered her head, picking through the chips in front of her. She quickly found a black chip and tossed it towards Wen Jianyan: “Here.”
Wen Jianyan: “?!”
He subconsciously caught the chip and looked down. The black chip had a denomination he had never seen before.
10.
…10??
Wen Jianyan was shocked and turned to look at Dan Zhu. “This…”
Dan Zhu had already stood up, saying casually: “A tip.”
She ran her fingers along Wen Jianyan’s cheek, a seductive glint in her eyes. “If you don’t want it, you can throw it to someone else. I don’t mind.”
…That line again.
Wen Jianyan gave a wry smile. “Then thank you very much.”
“Miss Dan Zhu, what you asked for is over here.” The pale-faced, handsome dealer came over and bowed, inviting her.
“Alright, I have to go,” Dan Zhu giggled, patting Wen Jianyan’s face. “Let’s play again next time we meet, bye-bye.”
After speaking, she turned and gracefully followed the dealer away.
Watching Dan Zhu’s departing figure, Wen Jianyan wore a contemplative expression. Dan Zhu’s game just now was definitely not ordinary. Not just because the color of the table was so strange, but also because of what the dealer said after the game ended… That is to say, at that table just now, the stakes weren’t just the chips on the table, but also other, additional things that he couldn’t see. Which meant this casino probably had more rules waiting to be discovered.
“…” Wen Jianyan lowered his eyes, rubbing the black chip between his fingers. The surface of the chip was uneven, releasing a cold, sinister aura.
Judging by Dan Zhu’s reaction after the game ended, Wen Jianyan knew that he had likely made the right move. Orange Candy had said that before she entered the top ten, these three had already been at the top of the list, and their positions had hardly ever changed. Since he couldn’t avoid getting involved with the top three, he might as well not avoid it. Although Dan Zhu was capricious and her allegiance was hard to discern, compared to the terrifyingly powerful leader of the Dark Fire Society, Yelin, and the leader of the Oracle Society who had never shown his face, she was still the more approachable one. It would be best to establish a connection. Even if he couldn’t… making her owe him a favor wasn’t bad either.
Wen Jianyan took a deep breath and turned to leave the casino. He had only come here to scout things out. Since that task was complete, there was no need for him to stay any longer.
Wen Jianyan passed the counter and went straight to the elevator.
The attendant: “Respected guest, which floor would you like to go to next?”
Wen Jianyan: “First floor.”
The iron gate clanged shut again, and the elevator began to rise slowly. As time passed, the familiar horizon appeared outside the iron gate, sinking from the top until it aligned with the elevator floor at the bottom. The elevator sounded with a “ding.”
“First floor,” the attendant turned to the side. “Please watch your step.”
Wen Jianyan nodded and walked out of the elevator.
“We look forward to your next visit,” the attendant’s voice came from behind.
Wen Jianyan’s steps faltered, and he turned to look back. Inside the modern ship cabin, the rusty elevator stood out jarringly. The iron gate was already closed. Through the iron bars, the attendant’s smiling face looked exceptionally pale under the lights.
Wen Jianyan shivered, looked away, and quickened his pace. Once he was far from the elevator, the oppressive silence that had shrouded it also vanished. The clamor of the Fortune cruise ship enveloped him, and Wen Jianyan finally felt like he had come back to life.
He took his phone out of his pocket and opened it, only to find a message from Chen Mo sent half an hour ago: “Meet in my cabin. As soon as possible.”
Looking at the last three words of the message, Wen Jianyan’s temples throbbed, and a sense of foreboding welled up in his heart. He knew this couldn’t be anything good.
Sigh. It was supposed to be such a wonderful vacation.
Wen Jianyan sighed, stuffed his phone back into his pocket, ordered another cocktail from a nearby bar, and then unwillingly made his way to Chen Mo’s cabin.
But even the longest road must eventually come to an end.
Wen Jianyan knocked on Chen Mo’s cabin door. Chen Mo’s icy face, looking as if the whole world owed him money, soon appeared behind the door. He scanned Wen Jianyan from head to toe with a sharp gaze, taking in his floral shirt, beach shorts, and the gaudy cocktail in his hand, complete with fruit and a small umbrella.
Wen Jianyan’s scalp tingled under his gaze.
“You’re late.” Chen Mo slowly stepped aside.
Wen Jianyan gave a dry laugh. “Sorry, I, I just saw it.”
He sheepishly followed Chen Mo into the cabin, only to be surprised to find that several members of his own guild were all there. Chang Feiyu, Ji Guan, and Ma Qi were tossing dice on the balcony, while Wen Ya sat on a nearby beach chair drying her hair—she was wearing a two-piece swimsuit, her lithe and slender figure, usually hidden under an overcoat, on full display, clearly having just returned from the pool. The others were either standing or sitting, talking amongst themselves in low voices.
Wen Jianyan’s gaze fell on a corner of the sitting area, and his brow twitched twice: “…Why is he here?”
A strange boy with white hair and black eyes was huddled expressionlessly in the corner of the sofa, dealing cards one by one onto the table. After dealing, he would gather all the cards up and start a second round. With his extremely low presence, existing only in a corner, he resembled a gloomy mushroom overall.
“I thought you knew,” Chen Mo said, stopping.
Wen Jianyan: “I don’t!!!”
He draped an arm over Chen Mo’s shoulder and whispered conspiratorially in his ear, “How about this: you find a way to help me get rid of him, and I’ll give you another week… no, three weeks of vacation—”
He hadn’t finished his sentence when he suddenly shivered. With a keen premonition for danger, Wen Jianyan shot his head up, meeting Bai Xue’s indifferent gaze.
“Haha…” Wen Jianyan released Chen Mo’s shoulder and laughed drily. “Long time no see.”
“…” Bai Xue lowered his head and started laying out poker cards on the table again.
Wen Jianyan couldn’t help but speak again, “Um, you’re here because…?”
Bai Xue’s movements paused, and he looked up. “You told me to come.”
Wen Jianyan: “?”
When the hell did I tell you to come?
Bai Xue answered stiffly and honestly, “You said, only if I find what you want and satisfy your preferences, would you be willing to play with me.”
“?” As soon as he said this, everyone in the cabin stopped what they were doing and turned to look. The gazes, filled with shock and condemnation, made Wen Jianyan feel as if he were sitting on pins and needles.
He jumped up. “You-you-you don’t talk nonsense! This is ruining my reputation…”
The crowd: “?”
Chen Mo paused, then slowly asked the question on everyone’s mind with a hint of confusion, “Guild Leader, do you still have such a thing?”
Wen Jianyan: “…”
He took a deep breath and pressed his temples, which were starting to ache. “So, you called me here this time because of this uninvited guest, right?”
“Not exactly.” Unexpectedly, Chen Mo denied his guess outright.
Wen Jianyan was startled. Then what could it be?
Seeing his surprised expression, the others seemed even more astonished than he was. Even Wen Ya stopped drying her hair and looked over: “Guild Leader, didn’t you see the announcement from Nightmare?”
Wen Jianyan looked blank. “Huh? What?”
Following Chen Mo’s guidance, Wen Jianyan opened his phone and only then saw the all-channel announcement Nightmare had posted on the anchor forum about forty-five minutes ago.
【Nightmare Live Streaming Room Announcement:
To increase live stream diversity, enhance fan stickiness, and to better serve the audience by presenting more high-quality entertainment programs, this live streaming room has decided to launch a new type of live stream column. The camera will focus on the daily lives of the anchors, hosting a new reality show:
‘Beyond the Instance’!
Note: This reality show is in a trial phase. Live stream reward points will be doubled.】
“This is…” Wen Jianyan was stunned.
“That’s right, a reality show.” Chen Mo narrowed his eyes. “Broadcasting the private lives of anchors outside of instances to the audience.”
“Unlike the 24/7 live streams in instances, this reality show will only broadcast for a fixed eight hours a day. The content is not limited, and it can be turned on or off at any time, as long as the total broadcast time is sufficient,” Chang Feiyu shrugged beside him and said. “Plus, the reward points for donations during the stream are doubled. I don’t think it’s a bad thing.”
“…” Wen Jianyan frowned.
Could this be Nightmare’s way of targeting him? He wasn’t sure. After all, this was a new program open to all anchors. Every anchor not in an instance would participate. In fact, for the vast majority of anchors, this was a dream come true. It was the first time Nightmare had opened up a new way to earn points besides clearing instances. Naturally, they couldn’t ask for more.
And, even if it was… What could Nightmare possibly do with a reality show that “focuses on the anchors’ leisure time”?
Wen Jianyan couldn’t figure it out.
“When does it start?” Wen Jianyan asked.
Chen Mo: “Tonight at twelve.”
Wen Jianyan took a deep breath and nodded. “I understand.”
No matter what Nightmare’s purpose was in starting this reality show, for anchors like them who had signed their lives away, they didn’t really have the right to object. They could only play it by ear.
“Everyone be cautious during the reality show,” Wen Jianyan said, narrowing his eyes. “Although I don’t know what Nightmare is up to… based on the rules of live streaming, the real threat might come from other anchors.”
“…” This statement was like a sudden enlightenment, and everyone’s heart sank.
It had to be said, Wen Jianyan’s insight was indeed terrifyingly sharp. The conditions for this reality show were exceptionally generous. Getting double the donation rewards without having to enter an instance—every anchor would flock to it. But… for the old connoisseurs who were already used to instance content, for whom only blood, death, and screams could excite them, getting them to pay for the bland daily life during a “reality show” and make large donations was almost impossible. The whole world bustles for profit. In other words, those anchors who didn’t want to risk their lives in instances but wanted to take this opportunity to make a fortune would definitely do their utmost to use this reality show to earn audience donation points.
“The good news is, at least Nightmare prohibits infighting in the anchor hall,” Wen Jianyan placed the now-empty cocktail glass aside. “So, we don’t have to worry too much about that.”
Although Nightmare’s bottom line was already low enough, it hadn’t sunk to that level. Just as Wen Jianyan had said before, although Nightmare was terrifyingly massive and almost omnipotent, it was also constrained by certain rules that prevented it from doing whatever it pleased. And prohibiting mutual killing outside of instances was one of the core structures of the live streaming room. Even the privileged class like the Oracle Society couldn’t violate it. But the problem was… Wen Jianyan knew all too well the darkness of human nature that could be spawned by the temptation of profit. And besides life-and-death struggles, there were plenty of other things that could attract an audience’s attention.
“In any case, everyone had best be on high alert from now on,” Wen Jianyan said.
Everyone looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
“Alright, since that’s the case, I’ll head back to my own room first,” Wen Jianyan waved and said goodbye to everyone.
Wen Jianyan returned to his room. The sky outside had completely darkened, the sea and sky almost merging into one color. The sea breeze was cold and damp, making the room feel chilly. The deck was no longer the scene of revelry it had been earlier, but had become very deserted. Apparently, the other anchors on the cruise ship had also received the notice about the reality show and had completely lost their mood for vacationing and fun, returning to their cabins to think about countermeasures.
Wen Jianyan leaned against the railing, gazing at the dark ocean in the distance, letting the sea breeze lift his bangs and chill his skin. He didn’t know what he was contemplating, just unconsciously turning the ring on his finger.
Finally, after an unknown amount of time, he seemed to have made up his mind and let out a long, slow breath.
Wen Jianyan brought the ring to his lips. “…Hey.”
He closed his eyes and said with forbearance, “Are you there?”
“…” The ring was dead silent. There was no response.
Wen Jianyan waited a few more minutes. Still, nothing happened.
That guy… he used to appear in an instant.
Wen Jianyan’s brow twitched, and he ground his teeth in disgust. So it’s no profit, no show, is it?
But, in a way, Wu Zhu not appearing was a relief for Wen Jianyan. This was for the best. He had already vaguely realized that their relationship was becoming more complicated over time, that the originally clear positions seemed to be blurring. That feeling of an entangled mess was frustrating Wen Jianyan. If everything could go back to how it was at the beginning, it would be a good thing for him.
“Phew…” Wen Jianyan ran a hand through his hair and turned back into the cabin.
The appearance of the reality show had a considerable impact. Out of caution, Wen Jianyan decided not to participate in any more activities tonight and to rest early instead.
He set an alarm for 11:58 PM, washed up briefly, and then lay down.
If he wasn’t mistaken… The opportunity to rest as peacefully as this might be rare from now on.
Within a few minutes, Wen Jianyan sank into a deep sleep.
In his slumber, he drifted in the cold darkness. It felt like a heavy stone was pressing on his chest, and his breathing gradually became difficult.
Wen Jianyan frowned in his sleep. …So cold.
Lips… Uncomfortable. A little numb.
Don’t touch…
He couldn’t help but shake his head, but he couldn’t escape the strange restraint. On the contrary, the numb and sore feeling on his lips became more and more impossible to ignore, as if he was being gently bitten…
What? Bitten???
Sleepiness vanished in an instant.
“?!” Wen Jianyan jolted, and his eyes snapped open.
On the once-empty side of the bed, a cold, solid body had appeared at some point, squeezed with him under the cabin’s blanket.
Wu Zhu tightened his arms, pulling Wen Jianyan closer into his embrace, his expression focused and eager: “Continue?”
Some time ago, Nightmare had detected the aura Wu Zhu had left behind and began a hysterical search and investigation—although Wu Zhu had escaped the shackles of the Ouroboros, the blow Wen Jianyan had dealt him before was still nearly fatal, leaving him severely weakened. But… under those circumstances, Wu Zhu had also promised Wen Jianyan not to act rashly until the gamble had a result. Therefore, Wu Zhu could no longer invade other instances to strengthen himself as unscrupulously as before. On one side was Wu Zhu’s hands being tied, on the other was Nightmare’s frantic targeting. That was why Wu Zhu’s actions had been so difficult. But he still tried his best to get here. After all, his misjudgment last time had made him regret it to this day. He absolutely could not miss the opportunity this time.
Wen Jianyan: “…”
Continue? Continue what?
Wait a minute, could it be that this guy thought he was called here to continue what they didn’t finish last time?!
While Wen Jianyan was still stunned, Wu Zhu’s hand had somehow slipped into his pajamas. The cold, large palm rested against the young man’s warm, rising and falling abdomen, fingers pressing deep into the skin, gripping the youth’s slender, flexible waist.
“Continue my ass…” Furious, he began to fight back.
“?” Wu Zhu let Wen Jianyan punch and kick him in his embrace, a look of confusion on his face, seemingly not understanding why the other’s reaction was so violent.
What? Wasn’t he called here for the same thing as last time? Or maybe… was it just the wrong method?
“Try another way?” Wu Zhu bit Wen Jianyan’s earlobe, which had started to burn at some point, and asked in a low voice, “Like this?”
Suddenly, something cold, soft, and snake-like seemed to wrap around his calf. It slithered along his skin, pressing an indent into the soft flesh of his inner thigh, then continued upwards in a very suggestive manner.
Wen Jianyan froze. Wait a minute. If his hands were around his waist, then what was wrapped around his calf was…??
Wu Zhu leaned down, his golden eyes reflecting Wen Jianyan’s stunned and face, and said as if seeking praise: “I remember you liked it a lot last time.”
He kissed the corner of Wen Jianyan’s eye, as if recalling a very specific scene. An unusual light shone in the depths of his golden eyes, and his voice unconsciously became a bit hoarse: “…You even cried.”
“…”
Cried? Last time???
Wen Jianyan’s pupils quaked. He took a sharp, hissing breath. Memories from after the Changsheng Building instance, which had never been so vivid, rushed into his mind. The terrifying sensation of being tormented by the other’s tentacles hit him like a tidal wave.
No, no, no! Absolutely not!
“I’ll f*ck your grandpa! You dare??” Wen Jianyan was both shocked and enraged.
“?” Wu Zhu looked even more confused. Although his upper body leaned back due to the other’s fierce resistance, the hands wrapped around his waist showed no sign of letting go. And the tentacle also showed no intention of leaving, making Wen Jianyan even more stressed. He punched and kicked Wu Zhu, cursing incessantly. Under the covers, the youth’s supple body was as taut as a bowstring, thrashing like a white fish. The sound of fabric rubbing violently filled the darkness.
Just as the two were tangled in a fierce struggle, suddenly, the alarm clock on the pillow rang.
“Beep beep beep!”
“…” Wen Jianyan’s expression froze, as if he had suddenly remembered something.
Right, he had set an alarm before sleeping. The alarm was set for 11:58 PM, just two minutes before midnight.
And once it reached midnight…
Looking at the second person in his bed, Wen Jianyan’s vision went black, and he almost couldn’t catch his breath.
The reality show… the reality show is about to start!!!

Author’s note:
Wen Jianyan: You there?
Wu Zhu (rushing over at top speed): What? Wifey is looking for me? Wifey wants me to continue? Wifey wants me to continue with tentacles?
Wen Jianyan: …
