HW Ch60: First Kiss

Yun Ci’s words came suddenly.

And before Yu Xun could react, Yun Ci’s grip tightened abruptly, fingers clenching as he kissed with a forceful collision.

Unlike the hard bones of his body.

His lips were soft.

Warm.

The moment their lips touched, his heart stopped beating for a second.

A fine current ran all the way to his fingertips, like faint fireworks, silently igniting his entire being.

Yun Ci belatedly realized that in the process, he had bumped into Yu Xun’s nose, causing a dull pain that made him lightly grit his teeth.

He had never kissed before.

The kiss was unpracticed, though a bit forceful, it was extremely inexperienced.

After a brief touch, Yun Ci retreated a little.

He looked at Yu Xun’s collar, which he had pulled into more disarray, and the slightly reddened corner of his lips.

Both understood the meaning of this kiss.

All the sounds gradually faded from Yu Xun’s ears.

The sound of the TV, the noise from the street outside, even the wind blowing through the window gaps, everything became inaudible.

Only Yun Ci’s voice remained.

“No one would kiss someone just out of a misunderstanding or being moved,” his voice was a bit hoarse, he said, “you’ve said before.”

“Only if you like them.”

After explaining this, Yun Ci became a little annoyed, scratching his head and saying with slight irritation: “Why do you think I’m just moved?”

“Am I an idiot?” he said, “Can’t I tell the difference?”

Yu Xun was stunned for a moment, the emotions stirred by his chat with Luo Sifang over dinner gradually dissipating in Yun Ci’s words.

Before dating Yun Ci, he had never experienced how moments of sweetness could also carry a sense of insecurity. Especially during the holidays, when they were apart.

Unsure if the other’s feelings for him would change today.

Unsure if someone new had appeared in the other’s life.

Everything started to become uncertain.

Yu Xun’s voice also became hoarse: “Because I was the one who pursued you first.”

“Afraid you were just moved.”

Yun Ci suddenly asked: “Is there a mirror in the house?”

Yu Xun: “?”

Yun Ci: “Look in the mirror before you speak.”

“…” Yun Ci had to admit that Yu Xun’s face was indeed very captivating, “With a face like that, who’s worried about whom?”

Given a little sunlight, Yu Xun would bask in it freely. He admitted, “—True.”

Yun Ci: “…”

No need to agree so quickly.

“The third place on the school heartthrob list means nothing. Back in high school, I had no competition.”

“…”

Yu Xun’s slightly raised voice lowered again: “But I met you.”

Meeting you made it less certain.

In this situation, a voice echoed in Yun Ci’s head: Should I comfort him?

But how to comfort, he didn’t know.

Say something more?

But there seemed to be nothing else to say.

In the end, Yun Ci braced himself on the edge of the sofa, leaned over, and kissed Yu Xun on the lips again.

After the kiss, he asked: “Still not sure?”

Yu Xun’s tone didn’t change: “Mm.”

Yun Ci kissed him again.

“And now?”

“Oh, still not sure.”

Yun Ci kissed several more times, pinning Yu Xun on the sofa.

Yun Ci: “Sure now?”

Yu Xun: “A bit better, try kissing for a while longer.”

One hand was gripping Yun Ci’s waist. After a while, when Yun Ci intended to stop, Yu Xun would say: “Not quite sure again.”

After several times, Yun Ci finally sensed something unusual.

He stopped and deliberately put some distance between them.

Yu Xun, who had his eyes half-closed, opened them a bit: “Hm?”

Yun Ci: “Isn’t this enough?”

Yu Xun’s eyes drooped a bit, his tone lazy but deliberately lowered: “Not at all, we introverted types really lack a sense of security.”

“…”

Now Yun Ci was almost certain.

This guy was doing it on purpose.

Even though they had distanced a bit, they were still close enough to hear each other’s breathing clearly.

Yun Ci gave a nonchalant “oh” and said: “Then forget it.”

“?”

He imitated Yu Xun’s tone, deliberately feigning indifference, continuing in a cool voice: “If I can’t comfort you, then forget it.”

Yu Xun almost sat up straight: “What do you mean forget it?”

Yun Ci: “Forget it means, I’ll just change boyfriends.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the hand gripping his waist tightened a lot, then suddenly pressed down on him—flipping their positions in the narrow space of the sofa, switching who was on top.

Yu Xun braced one hand on the edge of the sofa to prevent him from getting up, and said: “Change?”

“Change to whom? That third place who failed his exams?”

“…”

“I speak of teacher ethics,” Yun Ci said, “I shouldn’t change this.”

Yu Xun laughed angrily, “You really dare to take this.”

In fact, his emotions had already been almost completely soothed by Yun Ci, and he purely wanted to pretend to be insecure, so Yun Ci would continue to take the initiative to kiss him. But now he was triggered again, even though he knew this person was deliberately joking and going against him, he still couldn’t help it.

Yun Ci still wanted to say something, but Yu Xun lowered his head and kissed him, sealing off all the words he wanted to say next.

Their lips and teeth intertwined.

His kiss was so intense that it left the other person breathless, as if he wanted to squeeze out all the air between them.

“Any words you say, I don’t want to hear a single one,” Yu Xun said against his lips, “Let’s use them for something else.”

In the end, he lifted his hand and pinched Yun Ci’s chin, forcing him to lift his head and get closer to him, hoarsely saying, “…Open your mouth.”

Yun Ci had been kissing for a while, but it was just a random touch without any method.

He was controlled by Yu Xun, and uncontrollably opened his mouth.

The next second, the kiss became even deeper.

During the brief moments when they paused for breath, Yu Xun would release him slightly and ask, “Are you still going to change?”

Yun Ci said, “I’ll consider it.”

After he finished speaking, it was another nearly suffocating kiss.

Yu Xun’s voice carried a hint of danger, “Are you changing or not?”

He kept asking until Yun Ci compromised and pleaded, saying “Not changing.”

He couldn’t remember when the kiss started, only that a long time had passed, kissing until his mind went blank, and his whole body was numb and soft for a period.

There were also some hard places.

Yun Ci felt it several times, feeling the pressure.

“…,” he pushed Yu Xun away, “Go to the bathroom.”

Yu Xun knew they really couldn’t keep kissing.

So he let go of him and got up.

Half a minute later, hearing the sound of water coming from the bathroom, Yun Ci raised a hand to cover half of his face, and the temperature he felt from his cheek was burning hot.

Yu Xun took a cold shower.

He showered for half an hour, and when he opened the bathroom door, he wasn’t wearing a sweater. He only had a pair of loose gray sweatpants hanging on him.

The part of his waist that Yun Ci had touched earlier was now clearly visible in front of him.

He hadn’t accidentally touched anything significant, but at this moment, he could see clearly that Yu Xun was tall and lean, with a thin layer of abs at his waist.

Not long after coming out of the bathroom, he went to the sofa to hug him again.

Yu Xun raised his hand and casually rubbed the top of Yun Ci’s head, suddenly saying, “That was my first kiss.”

This person’s body temperature was very cool, and he also washed his hair, not bothering to dry it, so the strands of hair were cool too. Yun Ci was hugged by him, and his own body temperature, which had been too high, also cooled down.

Different from the atmosphere just now, they calmly chatted for a few words.

Yun Ci only knew that he didn’t date in high school, but couldn’t say for sure about before that, “Your first time?”

Yu Xun said, “What else?”

Yun Ci asked, “Not even in middle school?”

Yu Xun retorted, “Did you in middle school?”

Yun Ci: “No.”

He said, “First kiss, first love, all are you.”

“…”

“So am I,” Yu Xun finally said, “So, take responsibility for me. If you dare to change, just try.”

As they spoke, Yun Ci’s phone started ringing—it wasn’t on silent because he didn’t want to miss messages about his part-time job.

The ringtone went on for a long time.

The WeChat notification sound kept going “ding”.

Yun Ci swiped open his phone and opened WeChat.

More than a dozen unread messages, all from Liu Jiayu.

Liu Jiayu: [Is your girlfriend still angry?]

Liu Jiayu: [Damn, two exam papers are really too much, I’d rather call an ambulance. A real man would rather die than yield.]

Liu Jiayu: [Have you finished soothing her, can you take care of my life or death?]

Liu Jiayu: [Does your girlfriend know how important a man’s career is?]

Yu Xun glanced over, “Who is this idiot?”

Yun Ci: “Third place on the school grass list.”

“…”

The next second.

[‘Liu Jiayu’ invited you to a video call.]

Yun Ci was about to refuse, but Yu Xun’s hand reached over and clicked “Accept”.

The video call connected.

Liu Jiayu’s face appeared on the screen, still so unruly, “One sentence, can you give less homework?”

He continued, “I just called my buddy, and his tutor only gives one sheet of homework after class. I have two sheets, it’s really embarrassing, I can’t hold my head up in my friend circle.”

Yun Ci adjusted the camera to avoid accidentally showing Yu Xun: “One sentence, no.”

Liu Jiayu looked at the video screen and saw the sofa. His new tutor seemed to be lying on the sofa with an arm around his waist: “Are you at your girlfriend’s house?”

Yun Ci: “Yes.”

Liu Jiayu looked at that arm and deduced: “Your girlfriend is very tall, huh.”

Yun Ci: “Taller than you.”

“Taller than me,” Liu Jiayu said, “What does she eat to grow?”

Yun Ci: “Food.”

“…”

Liu Jiayu: “Is she still angry, does she respect your career?”

Yun Ci was about to say, “What does it matter to you?”

But before he could speak, the “girlfriend” beside him moved her hand.

Yu Xun pressed his waist again, pulling him slightly out of the camera’s view—in this angle, the person on the other end of the video couldn’t see his whole face clearly but could vaguely see some profile, inferring from subtle movements what the two were doing.

Then his hand moved up, fingers threading through his hair, gripping the back of his head, and kissed him as if declaring something.

“I’m still a bit angry,” Yu Xun said in a voice only the two of them could hear, “…Kiss again.”
